2004 Connecticut National Team All American

I would like to congratulate all of the 2004 Connecticut National Team participants for helping bring home a CT state record seven (7) All-Americans including one (1) Freestyle Champion! Certainly these wrestlers made this all happen themselves out on the mat. The entire support network of youth club coaches, officials, board members, parents and volunteers need to recognize that their collective efforts to support and provide ever increasing opportunities to our wrestlers of all ages is certainly paying dividends now.

National Champion Cadet Freestyle

• 91 lbs - Anthony Valles, South Windsor

National Runner up Cadet Greco- Roman

• 140 lbs - Mike Powers, Enfield
  • Mike finished in 5th place for Cadet Greco-Roman in 2003

All American Cadet Greco-Roman

• 145 lbs - Bran Crudden, Windham

Double All American Junior

• 112 lbs- Joey Martin, Simsbury
  • Joey placed 4th Greco-Roman 2004
• 8th Freestyle 2004
  • Joey Placed 8th Greco-Roman 2003

Women Division:

All American Junior Women's Freestyle

• 138lbs Stefanie Shaw placed 3rd 2004
• 138lbs Elena Pirozhkov placed 4th 2004
  • In 2003 Stefanie Shaw placed 3rd and Elena Pirozhkov placed 4th.
