Join the CT Middle School Team
Who may join– any one born in 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1993 if in 8th grade.
This is a travel team which will be competing against the top wrestlers in the east. This is
NOT for the inexperienced (novice) wrestler. This team is appropriate for the wrestler
who wants to experience a greater level of competition with the opportunity to train with
some of the best wrestlers in the state.

Friday nights: Times: 6:30 to 8:30pm 12/21; 12/28*; 1/4; 1/11; 2/29
Saturday mornings: * Times: 10:00am to 12:00pm 1/26; 2/2; 2/16; 2/23

The Program- No try-outs, open to any wrestler of a USAWCT sanctioned Club that is
in good standing. Participation should supplement any team or club that you are currently
a member or will be joining. Any changes to the schedule will be e-mailed to the e-mail
address you have provided on your application and will be posted on the USAWCT.org
web site. Team Tuition $65, (wrestlers must have current USA wrestling card, and be a
member of a USAWCT sanctioned Club in good standing) Tuition includes training,
the entrance fee for the Middle School National Duals in Wildwood NJ (provided we
have enough participants) or a replacement tournament along with a team t-shirt and
shorts. You are not required to “choose” between this team and your club team. All
competitions and practices are voluntary. However, members planning to participate on
the Dual Team competing at the National Duals in Wildwood NJ are expected to make
the practices so that the coaches can understand your wrestling strengths and weaknesses.
The intent of this team is to supplement what you are presently doing and allow you the
opportunity to compete with tougher competition and as part of a traveling team.
Wrestle offs – A wrestle off will be required for National Challenge Duals. Wrestle-offs
will be held at South Windsor. The dates will be announced on the web-site and by e-
mail.
Summary:
1. Minimum of 9 Team practices
2. Entrance fee and coaching at the National Challenge Dual (or an alternative
tournament) travel and lodging is the responsibility of each team member.
3. The opportunity to travel with KT Kidz to other out of state tournaments (additional
costs may apply). If you are not a member of KT Kidz coaching may be needed.
4. Team t-shirt and shorts.
