All wrestlers are encouraged to attend the Bristol Freestyle tournament that day.

Team Connecticut 2008
Team Connecticut began training Sun Apr 6 at Wesleyan University, Middletown. The training was held in the wrestling room at the Freeman Athletic Center.
Teams for the Cadet Duals in Kansas City, MO and the Junior Duals in Oklahoma City, OK will be chosen from the participants in this training program. Wrestle-offs will be held for weight classes with multiple participants. This program will also prepare wrestlers for the Cadet and Junior National Championships in Fargo, ND. The training will be challenging to prepare for these competitive events with wrestlers from all over the United States.
A wrestler may participate in this training program even if they are not participating in these tournaments. The freestyle training is available FREE to any cadet or junior with a USAW card. Cadets are wrestlers born in 1992-93. Juniors are wrestlers born 1989-91 and still in high school.
If you have any questions about the program you may contact John Ford, USAWCT Junior Director, 203-798-0195. Please call before 9 PM and leave a message. A training schedule is listed below.

(updated 12/3) NEW! Incentive reimbursement program (PDF)

This is not a hardship program, however, this is an incentive program in which USAWCT is encouraging our best wrestlers to compete in the toughest wrestling events in either National and Regional events. We realize that these events are expensive and therefore have developed a set of rules that allow a fair distribution of money based upon performance.

Rules: A wrestler earns points based upon their performance as listed on the schedule (A) below. Upon the wrestler competing in qualified USAWCT event(s), see schedule (B) below, these points earned at prior events may be converted into reimbursement of costs incurred by the wrestler during that subsequent trip. Exception to this rule, points earned in Fargo during a wrestler’s senior year are eligible to be reimbursed prior to August 31, of that year or they may use the points for FILA or USA wrestling regional or national events in subsequent years.
