Bronze Coaches Clinic Scheduled for Hartford
On Saturday April 4th a Bronze Clinic will be offered at The Ferris Athletic Center at Trinity College in Hartford, CT and with registration beginning at 8:30 am with start Time at 9:00 am.
Purpose
Bronze level certification is a comprehensive coaching education program for wrestling coaches who are committed to expanding their knowledge in the art and science of the coaching of wrestling. This is the first of a three part advanced coaching education program. The ensuing two parts are Silver and Gold level certification.
Audience
Volunteer, high school, collegiate, and elite international coaches who are looking to improve their knowledge and ability. Professional coaches who wish to continue their knowledge of the Sports Sciences, Sports First Aid, and Wrestling Technique and Tactics. For all coaches who aspire to be national team (all age groups included) coaches.
Copper is not a pre-requisite for the Bronze; however, it may be valuable to those coaches that do not have advanced formal coaching education.
Curriculum
Bronze Certification Course attendance at a 6 hour clinic plus self study of the USA Wrestling Coach’s Guide to Excellence and self study test. The clinic will emphasize group interaction facilitated by a USAW approved instructor.
The Bronze Level Certification course is an outstanding way for coaches to further their knowledge and understanding of the sport of wrestling. It serves as an important tool for coaches to learn more about the most up to date ways to successfully coach wrestling. This course is best suited for participants with past knowledge of the sport of wrestling or previous experience in coaching. The cost of the Bronze clinic is $60. This includes a coach’s book, the test, and a Bronze Coaching shirt.
